FRUIT SEASON, ripening periods

STRAWBERRIES: 20th of June to mid-July

RASPBERRIES (red, black): early July to mid-September

BLUEBERRIES: 2nd week of July to early September,

5500 bushes protected by a net, many sweet varieties, small to very big fruit.

CURRANTS (red and black): early to end of July

GOOSEBERRIES: mid to end of July

APPLES: We use integrated pest management.

We produce 22 different kinds of apples:
starting mid August	- Paulared
starting 1st Friday of Sept.	- Lobo
starting 2nd Friday of Sept.	- McIntosh
starting 3rd Friday of Sept.	- Royal Gala, Spartan
starting 4th Friday of Sept.	- Cortland, Empire
starting 1st Friday of Oct.	- Honeycrisp, Honeygold, Red Delicious, Kendall, Spencer
starting 2nd Friday of Oct.	- Golden Russet

We recommend calling before you leave, and we will, be pleased to confirm the fruit availabilities.

You can bring your own containers, or we have reusable containers available for you, at the pick your own stand.

Guide for pick your own:

Starting mid-June we are OPEN 7 DAYS A WEEK from 8:00AM to 5:30PM, depending on the weather.

Please notice, access to pick your own closes at 5:00PM because the fruit field is closed at 5:30PM.

You can bring:

• water, or available at the fruit stand.
• protection from the sun; hat, sun lotion.
• containers, or available at the fruit stand.
• children are welcome, under the care of an adult
• for long return trips home on hot days, fruit like strawberries, raspberries and blackberries will keep best in a cooler, for other fruit car air conditioning is sufficient.
